Walnut Maple Cake


In every feast or celebration cake is the main dish or sweet in the table and a good garnishing or presentation of the cake is also an advantage in every celebration. However, even if the presentation, color and the design of the cake good but the taste of the cake is not that perfect or not good at all it will be your disadvantage.

If you are having a hard time when it comes to the taste of the cake and preparing the recipe of it, I will be the one who will help you to fix the things that’s hard for you.

Walnut Maple Cake is a maple-flavored cake with candied walnut, it is a little bit easy to make because you don’t need to be good when it comes icing the cake.

The improper spreading of icing is the main reason why Walnut Maple Cake is made. I know that you want the recipe and try this cake at your home. Here are the ingredients.


1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1-1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon maple flavoring or maple syrup
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk


1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1-1/2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt


2 cups unsalted butter, softened
5 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon maple flavoring or maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 to 1/2 cup half-and-half cream
3 tablespoons maple syrup, divided


Preheat oven to 350 degree.
In a round baking pan, line the bottom of 3 greased 9-in. with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream the butter and add sugar until blended.
Add egg, one at a time, beating well after each egg.
Add maple flavoring.
In separate bowl, add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add the liquid mixture and mix well.
Transfer to prepare pans and bake 10-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Let it cool before removing in to wire racks. Cool completely.

For candied walnut, melt butter in a large skillet.
Add all the walnut; cook and stir in a medium heat until nuts are toasted, it will take for about 5 minutes.
Stir in the maple syrup and salt.
Spread on the foil to cool completely.

For frosting, beat butter in a large bowl until creamy.
Beat the confectioner’s sugar maple flavoring and salt.
Add cream to reach the desired consistency.

Place a layer on a serving plate and spread with 1 cup of frosting.
Sprinkle some candied walnuts and drizzle with 1 tbsp. maple syrup.
Repeat layers.

Top it with remaining layers and frost the top and sides of the cake.
The remaining walnuts and syrup should be sprinkled on all sides and in the top.

The sweet and salty taste of Walnut Maple Cake is perfect with hot coffee; it is really amazing to make a cake that’s easier than other cake.
