Who does not love Tiramisu? This is best for coffee lover who want another type of recipe that will surely you will “Pick Me Up”.

Tiramisu is from Italy meaning “Pick Me Up” or “Lift Me Up”. A coffee flavoured Italian dessert.

Since Italy is producing a lot of coffee they overcome to this recipe since 1960s. Tiramisu contains finger biscuits, egg yolks, sugar, coffee and mascarpone: these are the traditional Tiramisu recipe. As the time goes by, the recipe has some additional recipe that created Tiramisu more delicious.

As of today, countless variation of this recipe exists. Others added liquor for substitute for it in both coffee and cheese mixture since Europe also produces liquors.
I know you want a copy of Tiramisu recipe, I won’t keep you waiting, and here are the ingredients.

INGREDIENTS:

568ml pot double cream
250g tub mascarpone
75ml. Marsala
5 tbsp. golden caster sugar
300ml strong coffee, made with 2 tbsp. coffee granules and 300ml boiling water
175g pack sponge fingers
25g chunk dark chocolate
2 tsp. cocoa powder

DIRECTION:

In a large bowl, put cream, mascarpone, marsala and sugar.
Whisk completely until the mascarpone combined and have the consistency of thickly whipped cream.
Get your serving dish ready.
Put the coffee in a shallow dish and dip in a few sponge fingers at a time.
Until they are nicely soaked, turn for a few second (not soggy)
Layer these into your dish until you have used half the biscuits.
Spread half of the creamy mixture.
Using the coarse side of the grater, grate over most of the chocolate.
Repeat the procedure of layers.
Finish with creamy layer.
Cover and chill overnight.
Dust with cocoa powder and grate over the remainder of the chocolate.
